GrowTogether: making habit progress visible to a group
An in-house habit-tracking app that brings group creation, daily check-ins, shared progress and encouragement into one mobile experience for friends and family.

The challenge
The product idea centered on a shared habit rather than an isolated record of personal progress. The experience needed to connect three things: what a group is working toward, who has checked in and how members can encourage each other. A useful group view had to make those signals easy to find while preserving a straightforward daily check-in journey.
Project scope
- Habit groups and invitations
- Daily check-ins and personal streaks
- A shared view of member progress
- Group activity and timely nudges
- Encouragement around completed habits
How the experience comes together
Make the group the starting point
People create a group around a habit, choose what they want to work on and invite friends or family. A group list brings those shared commitments together, while each group provides the context for its own check-ins and progress. This gives the product a clear organizing unit: the people and habit someone has chosen to return to.
Bring individual check-ins into a shared view
Daily check-ins and streaks record each person's participation. The member-progress view brings those individual signals together so the group can see who has shown up. The experience connects a small personal action to a visible group record, with progress kept close to the people it belongs to.
Connect progress with encouragement
The group activity feed shows what is happening around the shared habit. Nudges and celebrations give members ways to respond when someone needs encouragement or completes a check-in. These interactions extend the experience beyond logging a result: they give the group a reason to engage with each other's progress.
